Forget the scouting combine — this draft runs on Trainer instincts.
Build your dynasty by drafting Pokémon instead of NFL players onto
a 26-slot roster covering every position: offense, defense, kicker,
and bench. The season is underway - set your lineup, train daily,
and battle your way to the PokéBowl.
Fantasy Pokéball is a fantasy football league where you draft Pokémon instead of NFL players onto a
26-slot roster, then manage your team all season through a weekly schedule, standings, and playoffs.
Here's how everything works and where it all lives.

Your Roster
Every team has 26 slots: 11 offense, 11 defense, a kicker, and 3 bench spots. Any Pokémon can play
any position. Drag a Pokémon onto another slot on My Team to swap them, or on a phone tap one and
then tap the slot to swap it with. Only starters record stats in box scores - bench Pokémon don't.
How the Draft Works
A snake draft across all 26 roster positions - pick order reverses every round.
Each pick has a countdown timer. If yours expires, any signed-in manager can trigger your
autodraft - it fills your highest-ranked still-available Pokémon from your own Pre-Draft Rankings
into your first open slot, or skips the pick if your list is empty. You can rank up to 50 Pokémon,
and nobody else can see your list.
Legendary and Mythical Pokémon can't be drafted, ranked, or signed as free agents - they show up
grayed out and labeled "Legendary" everywhere a Pokémon can normally be picked.
Season & Schedule
The regular season is 13 weeks. Games are played Thursday at 8pm, Sunday at 1pm, 4pm, or 8pm, and
Monday at 8pm. The admin posts each result on the Schedule page with the final score, game summaries,
and box score. If a final score is corrected later, the new score is announced in the league chat, and bonus training sessions are adjusted if the winner changes.
Standings & Playoffs
Teams are ranked by wins, then by point differential. A regular-season tie doesn't count as a win or a loss.
The top 8 teams make the playoffs, which are single elimination and start in Week 14.
Quarterfinals (Week 14): 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, and 4 vs 5.
Semifinals (Week 15): the 1 vs 8 winner plays the 4 vs 5 winner, and the 2 vs 7 winner plays the 3 vs 6 winner.
PokéBowl (Week 16): the two semifinal winners play for the championship.
Playoff games can't end in a tie - they go to overtime until there's a winner.
Daily Training
Train your team from the My Team page to help your results. Training doesn't guarantee a win, but it
can tip the scales. You get one session per real calendar day, with six types to pick from:
Type
Represents
Pass Offense
Calcium
Run Offense
Protein
Pass Defense
Zinc
Run Defense
Iron
Film Session
TM
Team Bonding
Exp. Share
Losing a game banks a bonus session, letting you train twice (two different types) on a later day. Bonus sessions stack across losses and clear the moment you win.
A tie doesn't add or clear bonus sessions.
A streak badge tracks consecutive days trained, shown on My Team and publicly on the Rosters page.
The Schedule page shows what each team has trained since its last game.
Free Agency
Once the season starts, any Pokémon nobody has drafted is fair game - sign one from the Pokédex page:
Click an eligible Pokémon (not drafted, not Legendary) - a "Sign Free Agent" button appears.
Choose a slot from your own roster to sign it into. If that slot is already filled, the current Pokémon there is dropped back into the pool as part of the same move.
Confirm - the league chat announces it automatically ("Your Team dropped X for Y").
You can make 2 signings per week during the regular season. The limit resets once every game of the current week is final.
You can also drop a Pokémon without signing a replacement, using the "✕" next to it on the Rosters page. It returns to the pool, and that slot stays empty until you fill it.
Trades
Trades open once the draft is complete:
On the Rosters page, click a Pokémon on another team.
Choose what you'll receive and what you'll give, then send the proposal. Uneven trades are fine as long as both teams have room.
The other manager accepts or denies it from My Team, and you can cancel your own proposal until they answer.
Pokémon in a pending trade can't be included in another trade until it's resolved.
During the regular season, a trade is blocked if one team has already played that week and the other hasn't, so no Pokémon can play twice in a week.
If either roster changes in a way that affects the trade, it can't be accepted and has to be proposed again.
Traded Pokémon move into the slots the other team gave up, then any open slots. Rearrange them on My Team afterward.
Proposals and completed trades are announced in the league chat.
Cheerleaders
Just for fun, you can add up to 5 undrafted Pokémon as cheerleaders from the Train Your Team section
of My Team. They don't affect your roster or results. If one gets drafted or signed by any team, it
leaves your cheerleader slot.
Where We Are
The draft took place on October 14th and the season kicked off on October 15th. The regular season
runs through Week 13, followed by the playoffs and the PokéBowl.
Questions along the way? Ask in the league chat - it's open on every page.
